Classes

Four kinds of class, one floor

Every class starts with a warm-up and ends with a short cool-down. Classes are up to 18 students, and every class is for adults.

  • A woman striking a heavy bag in a bright training studio while others work at bags behind her

    Fundamentals

Stance, movement, strikes on pads and how to keep your distance. The class every new student starts in, taught early on Tuesday, at noon, on Monday and Thursday evening and on Saturday morning.

    • 60 to 75 minutes

    • Beginner level

  • A woman with silver hair kicking a large pad held by her partner on a mat

    Intermediate

Combinations on pads and shields, escapes from grabs and holds, and drills where the partner sets the pace. You join when an instructor says you are ready.

    • 75 minutes, Monday and Wednesday evening

    • Pad and partner drills on Tuesday night

  • A woman kicking a large pad held by a partner while three other women practice behind them

    Women's class

A class for women, taught by Malini. The same four ideas as every class: distance, awareness, a firm voice and pad work, in a room of women.

    • 75 minutes, Tuesday and Thursday evening and Saturday morning

    • Open to every level

  • A person in a grey t-shirt with black gloves raised in a guard position

    Conditioning

A workout that is also a class: circuits of pad work and body-weight drills at 6 a.m. and in the evening. Scale every round to where you are today.

    • 60 minutes

    • Open to every level

Open training

Friday evening, with the floor open

Friday evening is open training for anyone who has taken Fundamentals. Wardell is on the floor, you choose the drills you want to repeat and the partners you want to repeat them with.

How it runs

  • 90 minutes on Friday evening

  • For students who have finished Fundamentals

  • An instructor on the floor throughout

Not sure which class?

Start with Fundamentals. It takes every level, and a first class walks you through the floor.
